Artist bio:
I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan but I have lived and traveled in Europe, Africa, South America, and a few islands in the Pacific. I started out in Filmmaking and Videography in 2003 but then transitioned into Photography in 2006 when I was living in Uganda. Currently, I am working as a Documentary Wedding & Portrait Photographer in the West Michigan area but, as always, my motto is “Have Camera - Will Travel”.

Artist statement:
A few years ago I read an article in TIME magazine about a group that donates cameras to human rights workers in Africa to record atrocities. Their motto is: “See It, Change It, Film It.” The phrase kept replaying itself in my mind. Since that time it has been my desire to take photographs that would cause people to change the way they think, live, and treat one another. It is my hope that my images would inspire people to recognize their God-given potential to transform the world when they are transformed themselves.

In the bag:
I shoot with the top of the line Canon 5D Mark II and I have a 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, and a 50mm f1.8.
